Health, wellbeing and counselling services.

The physical and emotional welfare of our pupils is always our top priority. Achieving and maintaining a consistently high standard of pastoral care and intervention is something upon which we pride ourselves, and it forms the essential foundation for first-class, measurable learning to take place, via our new RestartEd programme.

As experienced education professionals, we know there is a direct correlation between physical and mental wellbeing and the proper development of social and emotional intelligence, which will be of critical importance to pupils in later life.

That’s why it is reflected in every single aspect of our education provision, and mirrored by our core shared values of ‘empathy’,‘trust’, ‘focus’ and ‘progression’.

Our team benefit from the very latest in safeguarding training and are experienced active listeners. They understand that, for whatever reason, some of the young people who come to us haven’t had the best starts in life, and they’re here to help them realise better, brighter futures, and become the very best possible versions of themselves.

This is complemented by professional counselling services, which provide a friendly and non-judgmental safe space where our children and young people can openly discuss their anxieties and issues, and explore coping strategies and potential solutions.

Lee Jewitt“As a team, we listen to what each child or young person says, and observe the actions they display. We’re here to teach them to recognise their emotions, and help them develop tools and techniques surrounding learning-related anxiety and mental health so that, no matter what journey they choose to take post 16, they’re in a positive place moving forward.”
