Tailored to individual needs.
RestartEd gives hard-to-reach learners every possible opportunity to follow the national curriculum, and achieve equivalent qualifications to their peers. Its unique difference is its enhanced support mechanism and bespoke delivery, informed by the findings of our own detailed, diagnostic assessments and designed to help the child and young person re-engage effectively with learning and fulfil their maximum potential.
When a young person is referred to us, we start by evaluating information passed on by their previous school, or relevant local authority, before moving on to undertake our own assessments across core subjects, such as maths and English.
Once we have established where their strengths and weaknesses lie, we work with them one-to-one to a linear curriculum model, where they learn selected skills, are assessed on each of them, and then move on to the next level.
This comprehensive, systematic approach helps to eliminate existing learning gaps and enhance core knowledge across key foundation subjects.
We also deliver a full PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic) curriculum, comprising health and relationships education, as well as other elements tailored to meet individual needs. This is complemented by a Careers Advice service, wellbeing support and full counselling services.
