Part of the Grolife group of companies, RestartEd is a specialist assessment, diagnostic and intervention programme that aims to identify the root causes of underlying behavioural issues affecting children and young people who, for one reason or another, are struggling to engage with education.

Focused on the needs of hard-to-reach children and young people across the North West, RestartEd is a specialist intervention and mentoring service with one unique and hugely important difference; we assess, diagnose and unpick the underlying academic, social and/or emotional issues affecting their behaviours.

Subsequently, we create an individually tailored ‘next steps’ programme for schools, local authorities and other bodies to follow. This is to ensure that the progress they’ve made with RestartEd, is used as a solid foundation for enhanced learning and life potential, and a brighter, more positive future.

Based on detailed assessments, RestartEd delivers 12 hours per week of high quality, one-to-one learning and mentoring, from our qualified and experienced team of education professionals.

This includes a rich and well-balanced curriculum comprising core academic subjects, such as Maths and English, alongside PSHE and essential life skills. All delivered in a safe and nurturing environment that embodies our core shared values of ‘Empathy’, ‘Focus’, ‘Trust’ and ‘Progression’. Additionally, we promote a healthy, active lifestyle and support mental wellbeing through our professional counselling services.

Whatever their story, RestartEd is here to help children & young people disengaged from education to write and realise their next chapter, get their learning back on track and fulfil their true potential.

“Many young people come to us with limited expectations from life and low aspirations for their futures.

“RestartEd is their catalyst for positive change, helping them to challenge their existing restrictive, negative perceptions and progress.”

James Lowe – Director, RestartEd
